What is Resonance

Written by Allen Rascoe | Oct 14, 2025 12:30:00 PM

Resonance is literally a resounding of the initial tone.

It can be considered a ring or buzz. It lends quality, uniqueness, and color to the voice, depending on the many registrational and vowel adjustments utilized in a healthy manner. Vocal resonance is not something to be made or produced, but rather a happening or byproduct of free muscular function, plus proper size and shape of vowel requisite to the pitch.
